2022-Burghclere NPR Regulation 14 pre-submission

Burghclere Parish Council took the decision to update its Neighbourhood Plan in December 2021 to ensure it maintained its currency in light of the continued loss of B&DBC's 5 year land supply during the Local Plan Update process, and to bring it into line with new legislation and planning practice.

The existing Neighbourhood Plan has been modified by a sub-group of the Parish Council with support from previous NP Steering Group members, B&DBC Planning Policy and consultants ONeill Homer.

Regulation 14 is a six-week public stakeholder consultation and is carried out by the Parish Council.

Details on how to comment and where to view a copy of the plan are found below.  Once comments have been received, the plan will be reviewed and passed with its supporting documents to B&DBC where it will be checked against legislation (known as Regulation 15).

Responsibility will then rest with B&DBC, which will undertake a further formal consultation (known as Regulation 16) before the plan is subject to formal examination by an Independent Examiner.

Paper copies are available to view in the Church of Ascension and the Sports Club (when open).  A public drop in session will be held in the Portal Hall Clubroom on Sunday 9 October between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.
